Storm The Gates Of Hell, though different from their prior albums, is still very identifiable to the band. This album, while having more religious undertones, keeps Demon Hunter's ideal of providing all-around good metalcore, ranging from the slower songs (Carry Me Down) to the fast, more hardcore songs (Storm The Gates Of Hell). Alongside this tradition, they keep to providing beautiful vocals in tune perfectly with their intense growling, presenting a unique take on the typical metalcore style. If you aren't into metalcore, however, I have found that there is little hope of taking refuge solely with this band; on the other hand, if you are a fan of metalcore, or simply don't mind the genre, then check out this album. You will thank yourself for it.
